PHASES of HEALING
Healing is a group effort.
Phase One
Stabilization

Obtains ID

Obtains Medicaid and SNAP benefits

Begins intensive outpatient treatment for addiction

Begins trauma therapy with a licensed professional

Meets weekly with a coach to set up personal and program goals

Obtains primary care physician

Obtains medications necessary for physical and mental health
-
Attends 5 recovery meetings per week

Attends daily in-house and required classes
-
Works Steps 1-3 of the Twelve Steps (AA or NA)

Phase Two
Healing
-
Focuses attention on core issues in trauma therapy
-
Makes a concerted effort to build healthy, in-house relationships

Continues attending daily in-house and required classes
-
Continues attending intensive outpatient treatment (IOP)
-
Meets one-on-one weekly with IOP therapist
-
Meets weekly with coach and works toward established goals
-
Obtains necessary job readiness skills and updates resume
-
Work Steps 4-6 of the Twelve Steps (AA or NA)

Phase Three
Building
​
-
Obtains employment and begins working 20-25 hours/week
-
Establishes banking
-
Establishes a budget and begins saving toward expenses
-
Pays fines and obtains driver's license
-
Begins parenting classes/coaching (when applicable)

Attends 3 recovery meetings per week and builds on sober support
-
Establishes healthy, supportive relationships in the community

Attends 3 in-house classes
-
Meets regularly with coach and works toward established goals
-
Continues with outpatient treatment as recommended
-
Works Steps 7-9 of the Twelve Steps (AA or NA)

Phase 4
Soaring
​
-
Obtains full-time employment when possible

Continues paying fines
-
Saves money toward post-graduation expenses (rent, transportation, household goods, etc.)
-
Completes a transition plan including housing, services, transportation, and support
-
Creates 5-year goals and a plan to reach them
-
Works Steps 10-12 of the Twelve Steps (AA or NA)
